The role: 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a recent graduate to work full time on a 2-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to undertake research into trust factors in the recruitment and retention of participants from diverse backgrounds for clinical trials. The role will utilise a blend of behavioural science, social science, and coproduction to inform the design of a technology platform to aid engagement and retention. 

Employed and supported by an academic team from the University, you will be based at COUCH's premises in Manchester.

Qualifications we require: 

PhD in Psychology, Health Psychology, Behavioural Science or a related field. 

Application requirements: 

  • High-level critical analytical skills, with experience of conducting: theory-based qualitative and quantitative research, experimental studies, systematic reviews, data interpretation and analysis 
  • Knowledge of behaviour change techniques 
  • Experience of utilising co-production or collaborative methods as an inclusive approach to working with diverse communities 
  • Strong communication skills in both written and oral form, as well as strong influencing and relationship-building skills 
  • Ability to develop sustainable relationships with a diverse range of partners and organisations 

About KTP: 

For over 45 years, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) have been helping to innovate for growth by connecting businesses that have an innovation idea with the expertise to help deliver it. Currently around 800 businesses, 100 knowledge bases and over 800 graduates are involved in KTPs - collaborative, three-way partnerships creating positive impact and driving innovation
