The Postgraduate Research Service (PGR) are seeking to appoint an Administrator to provide highly efficient and effective professional administrative support for the University's Doctoral Training programmes.
You will provide support to postgraduate research applicants and students, working closely with the academic and professional service staff involved with leading, supervising and delivering the doctoral training for these programmes. You will implement administrative systems and processes, and ensure that these are operating efficiently and effectively, liaising with students and staff as required.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised with excellent attention to detail. The role offers a varied and interesting workload including interaction with a wide range of applicants, students, staff and external partners.
You will have two A-levels at Grades A-E and five GCSEs at Grades A-C (including Mathematics and English) or equivalent qualifications or experience. In addition, you will be able to satisfy all essential criteria detailed in the person specification in the candidate brochure for this post.
The post is available from 1 October 2024, on an indefinite part-time (0.6 FTE) basis.
The Postgraduate Research Service is currently operating a hybrid working model. The Doctoral Training Partnerships team’s fixed on-campus working days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, though some flexibility may be required based on workload, attendance at in-person PGR Service meetings, training or events. We can be flexible in agreeing precise working hours to be worked (within 8am-6pm) with the preferred candidate.
