Fixed term for one year
Castleford College is looking for individuals who are keen in supporting and developing young people to achieve the best they possibly can while studying with us. We are looking for motivated, tenacious, and student-centred individuals who will support our students to overcome challenges and barriers so they can attend all their lessons, develop the appropriate attitudes and behaviours to their studies and future careers, and progress with the skills needed to achieve well at college and in life.
The role expects that you can work well within a small, dedicated team while also being able to operate well with curriculum and support teams across the college to ensure students received the best possible support to help them be successful at college. Furthermore, the role will expect you to build strong links with parents and carers of our young people to ensure as a college we are utilising all support mechanisms to see a student progress well."

Not yet qualified but interested in getting into teaching?
If you have not previously worked within the Education sector but have considered a career move, you may be suitable for the Department of Education - Taking Teaching Further initiative, which employs industry specialists direct into Further Education. You will receive an enhanced support package whilst you gain a Teaching Qualification. This opportunity can be discussed at the interview stage.
