Working Pattern: Hybrid (Central Cambridge and home based).Usually, two days in the office, to include Tuesdays plus one other day. Staff can work more days in the office if preferred. About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in student recruitment at the University of Cambridge. You will lead on a range of engaging initiatives designed to inspire and support prospective students as they consider applying to the University. The role primarily involves event logistics and administration, so experience of event organisation or project management is essential. You will facilitate webinars, deliver virtual presentations and in-person events, working with a wide range of academics and student ambassadors.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing and delivering:

  • Subject Masterclasses: aprogramme of in-person and virtual, subject-specific events running throughout the year.
  • Think Cambridge: a webinar series for students in Years 10-12, designed to inform and inspire them to consider Cambridge as a future study option.
  • Teachers' and Advisers' Webinar Series:a year-round programme providing information and guidance to help teachers and advisers effectively support their students.

About the team

You will join a small, experienced, and welcoming team that works collaboratively to deliver a wide range of events and resources for prospective applicants, their parents, and teachers. The team is committed to continually improving and developing its projects, while offering a supportive and encouraging working environment.

Alongside leading your own projects, you will support a variety of other events, including in-person Undergraduate Open Days and Virtual Postgraduate Open Days. You will also contribute to projects supporting teachers, mature students, and Foundation Year applicants.

The role includes some travel across the UK, offering opportunities to meet prospective students and network with colleagues across the sector, as well as occasional evening and weekend work.
