The School
Design, clustered within the School of the Arts, is an ambitious and growing academic unit. Interior Design sits alongside Animation, Games Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, and User Experience Design at undergraduate level. Our postgraduate provision includes MA Animation, MA Interior Design, MSc Product Design, and an MA in Virtual and Augmented Realities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer to contribute to our vibrant undergraduate and postgraduate Interior Design provision. The majority of your work will involve teaching in a variety of settings, including small group tutorials/seminars and lectures; assessment; and the provision of pastoral and academic support to students. The successful candidate will have a profile as an interior designer with necessary industry and teaching experience. Your role will support industry collaborations and live project development. Teaching will include undergraduate and taught postgraduate.
The role
You will have expertise across a range of commercial interior design sectors and contexts along with a working knowledge of industry standard 2D and 3D software packages, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite. Well-rounded abilities across all stages of the design process enable you to teach across all levels in both creative and technical aspects of the curriculum.

Inclusive and social design, embedded and emerging environments and technologies, sustainability and ethical practices, applications for materials and construction processes, regenerative and biomaterials, design for health and wellbeing or public engagement.
