Student Administration within Registry is primarily responsible for the progression of students from Registration to Graduation, and the maintenance of their associated student records. Over 8,000 students from 150 countries worldwide choose to study with us, and the University holds a Home Office sponsor licence to enable it to recruit international students. As a sponsor of international students, Registry is required to carry out a range of duties in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the licence.
The PBS Team Leader will work as part of a Registry PBS team dedicated to developing, monitoring and reviewing procedures relating to Student route visa and non-Student route visa international students and ensuring that the University remains compliant with the requirements of its sponsor licence. The remit of the role covers PBS activity for both taught and research students and therefore the post holder will be required to have an understanding and knowledge of all levels of study, and to facilitate collaborative working across the PBS team.
The post holder will be responsible for implementing and reviewing existing Registry policies and procedures in accordance with University legislation and Home Office requirements to ensure Home Office immigration compliance, and for developing, enhancing and improving processes in response to changes to immigration rules and guidance and University legislation. The post-holder will also provide support for Registry-wide systems development and projects.
