Join us as a Lecturer in Biomedical Science at The University of Salford and be part of Team Salford, and one of the UK’s fastest growing universities.
Following the success and growth of our programmes we are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences to further strengthen activities in both our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and are keen to hear from applicants with a track record of independent research which will help inform their teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in, but not limited to, the broad areas of:
We are also particularly interested in receiving applications from people with demonstrable existing links to industry, including clinical partners, and those who are committed to delivery of high-quality, research-led teaching.
The Biomedicine team delivers a range of well-respected accredited programmes. Current undergraduate teaching is centred around the award-winning, IBMS accredited, BSc Biomedical Science and the Biomedical Scientist Degree Apprenticeship (recipients of the IBMS prize for best Educational Institute 2024), as well as RSB accredited BSc Biochemistry and BSc Human Biology and Infectious Disease. At postgraduate level, our taught provision includes MSc Biomedical Science, MSc Biotechnology and MSc Drug Design and Discovery.
This new post will belong to the Biomedical Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) which brings together a vibrant and collaborative community of scientists to address critical challenges faced by society.
