Job Summary:

As a key member of the Community Safety and Security Department we are seeking highly motived and enthusiastic individuals who will be at the forefront of keeping our community safe. You will be joining a Team who provides security services to ensure a safe, secure, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors in accordance with Imperial Policy. You are required to be fully committed to ensuring a professional service is provided to the Imperial Community which will include attending and performing duties, as required, at all Imperial locations.
The role requires the ability to promote and maintain high standards and you will be required to work on a rotating 48-hour shift pattern that includes day and night shifts, covering 365 days of the year. You will also be required to hold a SIA Licence, which will include completing a DBS check, and you must be committed to the full training program that will be provided by Imperial.
Duties and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the protection of persons, property, and prevention of crime. This includes routine patrols and monitoring on assigned campuses across various shifts, responding to different types of emergencies, investigation and incident report writing. You will also be required to work on specific tasks as directed and all duties must be completed in a professional and timely manner and meet relevant legislation.
As a customer-focused role, you must reflect exceptional customer service skills and perform the job to a very high standard. You will need to communicate effectively and be approachable to a diverse range of people with the aim of enhancing the customer experience and service, in line with Imperial Values and Behaviours.
