This post is office based at Southampton General Hospital. We are able to offer a flexible working pattern, but some cover will be required each day of the week.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our Faculty Operating
Service (FOS). The FOS is the professional service to the University led by the Associate Director of Faculty Operations. The service works with Faculty Deaneries and Senior Leadership Teams to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the faculties core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.
This post is based in the Faculty of Medicine, supporting the Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS) within the Department of Medical Education, School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education.
You will have experience of working in an administrative role within a busy and diverse office. Strong diary management skills are essential as well as servicing meetings and organising travel and events.
You will have a keen eye for detail and a flexible attitude. Excellent IT and inter-personal skills are essential, as is a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
As a key point of contact for staff and students, you will need to be a confident and sympathetic communicator with a strong sense of customer focus and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise your own work.
The University of Southampton offers a generous annual leave package including additional closure days (pro-rata for part time staff). This role is part time, 30 hours per week.
