An opportunity has arisen in the Recruitment & Admissions Directorate, working in the Admissions Services team.
The admissions service team is responsible for providing an effective and efficient admissions service for the University. You will be the first point of contact for applicants, responding to all admissions related enquires, providing high levels of customer service in a timely and professional manner. You will have responsibility for the processing of applications, making decisions consistently and fairly against pre-defined entry criteria. You will have extensive contact with applicants and staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external contact with other bodies such as UCAS, NARIC and the UKVI.
In addition to these duties, it is expected that the role holder will participate in University Applicant and Open Days and other external recruitment events as required.
You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office. Experience of working with a University student record systems, such as SITS and in the field of higher education is desirable. An understanding of University admissions processes would also be a distinct advantage.
We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and responsible person, with the ability to work both as an effective team member and independently.
