Senior Student Experience Officer (Progression)

About the role

The King’s Foundations department provides academic preparation programmes for ambitious international students who want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in the UK. 

The role of Senior Student Experience Officer (Progression) is a varied and innovative non-traditional student experience role whose primary objective is to project manage the progression of King’s Foundations students onto undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at King’s College London and elsewhere.

The role is responsible for managing and administering the progression processes, working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth transition of students onto undergraduate or postgraduate programmes.

The role will develop accurate and expansive progression data models to inform King’s Foundation strategy and enable the department to better support students to fulfil their potential and progress further in higher education. 

The role holder will be a self-starter, able to work collaboratively across multiple teams and bring a positive and solutions-focused mindset to the role and team. 

This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. This role is expected to work in a hybrid model with at least 40% of hours based in the office/on campus.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

• Significant experience of supporting the student experience in a Higher Education or Further Education setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including: The ability to communicate complex information effectively with a wide range of audiences from students to Senior Managers and the ability to network, liaise and motivate a diverse stakeholder group of internal and external members.
• Experience of managing large-scale projects with the ability to prioritise effectively and delegate tasks appropriately while working to tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical & evaluation skills, with the ability to work confidently with large data sets and to convey complex information through meaningful reports that can be understood by a wide range of audiences
• Excellent working knowledge Microsoft Office and online platforms with the confidence & drive to learn to use new systems when required. In particular, the role holder should have a high-level working knowledge of Excel and the ability to produce accurate and meaningful reports through programmes such as PowerBi.

Desirable criteria

• Educated to degree level.
• Experience of running small- and large-scale events.
• An understanding of the UCAS application process.
