We are seeking a full-time PA and Research Group Administrator to provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the CHI lab at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME). This role will primarily support the Professor of Clinical Machine Learning, Professor David Clifton, as well as other academic members of the group. The position is permanent and full-time, although applications for part-time (30 hours per week) will also be considered.
About The Role
Working within an exciting, dynamic research environment, you will assist in the coordination of the academic research, leadership and administrative responsibilities of the Professor of Clinical Machine Learning and other senior academic members of the Digital Health Group. For instance, Professor Clifton also holds several senior externally-oriented roles (advisory boards, industrial collaborations, etc.) and you will be required to support him in these endeavours. In addition, you will also contribute as an active member of the administrative team in the IBME, which is overseen by the Office Manager.
About You
You will have proven experience supporting a senior member of staff, with a strong track record of providing exceptional administrative services. You should be highly organised and proactive, with excellent diary management skills and experience in arranging complex meetings and travel itineraries. A meticulous eye for detail and a high level of accuracy are essential, along with outstanding written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle Financials would be an advantage.
