Education Services (formerly Student Registry)
We ensure the accuracy and security of the student record; manage and analyse data; and provide examination and assessment administration.
The student record is at the heart of Education Services’ work. Education Services’ activities support a range of student services, including visa management, fees and funding, support and welfare, examinations and award verification, as well as providing University decision-making bodies with the data required to make management decisions and submit statutory returns to HESA – Higher Education Statistics Agency.
About the Role
The Data Quality Team is responsible for monitoring the quality of the student record, programme set-up, system data configuration, and compiling and submitting four of the University’s HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) returns. The team works closely with Graduate Studies Assistants in Divisions and Departments to monitor key areas of postgraduate student data as well as overseeing and supporting administrative processes.
The role of the Data Analyst involves the management of the quality of the graduate student record, as well as providing assistance to the team preparing the University’s student returns to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). The Data Analyst will have line management responsibility for a Senior Student Records Officer and will also be responsible for the student registration queries, annual rollover of the graduate student records and maintenance of the recognised student record.
