St Anne’s is one of the largest Colleges in the University of Oxford, with around 865 students, known for being ambitious, outward facing and collaborative.
The Library holds one of the largest circulating collections of any Oxford college, with around 100,000 volumes. In addition, it has a small but interesting collection of rare books, special collections and archive material.
The Deputy Librarian is a key member of a small team consisting of the Librarian, the Assistant Librarian, the Library Assistant and the Archivist. The members of the team work together closely, each contributing to running a heavily-used academic library and archives. The Deputy Librarian will take a leading role in developing and managing the Library’s collections, and will deputise for the College Librarian in their absence.
You will have a professional qualification in library/information work, or equivalent professional experience, and post-qualification experience of working in a library. We are looking for someone with experience of cataloguing and classification alongside excellent communication skills and a high level of IT literacy.
Staff benefits include free lunches, generous annual leave and enhanced family friendly policies.
