At CJBS, we provide a specialist information and library service in the field of business and management studies to members of the business school and the wider University of Cambridge community. Our service boasts a world-class range of business databases covering company and financial data, industry and market reports, global news and much more.
As Head of Information and Library Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence across our library operations. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for:
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to oversee our business information and library services. You will bring a proven ability to manage resources, budgets, and high-performing teams, coupled with expertise in professional library systems and copyright legislation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the capacity to deliver innovative, web-based services that enhance user experience.
As a trusted partner across the institution, you will produce high-quality reports, communicate effectively, and drive strategic initiatives with resilience and collaboration. Your leadership style inspires and motivates others, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Ideally, you hold a postgraduate qualification in librarianship or information science (or equivalent experience), with experience in a global business school environment, and demonstrate proficiency with standard IT tools.
