ABOUT THE TEAM AND THE ROLE
Our Student Administration team is at the heart of the student experience at the University of Sunderland in London. We work collaboratively to ensure every student’s journey from enrolment through to graduation is smooth, efficient, and supported by exceptional customer service.
As a Student Administration Officer, you will play a key role in managing and developing core administrative processes that underpin the student lifecycle. From maintaining accurate records and supporting enrolment to administering assessments and results, your work will directly impact the quality of the student experience. You’ll use systems to deliver efficient services, respond to complex queries, and provide clear guidance to students and staff. This is a dynamic role and you will balance routine tasks with problem-solving, contribute to service improvements, and ensure compliance with university policies and statutory requirements.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll bring proven experience in administration and a strong customer-focused approach, ideally gained in a busy, multi-stakeholder environment. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you can manage competing priorities without compromising on quality. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build productive relationships with colleagues and students. If you have experience in higher education or with systems like SITS and VLE platforms, that’s a bonus, but what matters most is your commitment to delivering an excellent student experience and your willingness to learn and adapt. If you’re proactive, resilient, and passionate about supporting others, we would love to hear from you.
