Birkbeck, University of London is seeking a talented Planning and Management Information Analyst to join the Planning and Strategic Projects Directorate.
This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality insight to support course planning, performance monitoring, analysis of sector trends, and the identification of new opportunities for the University. It is offered on a 15 month maternity cover contract, at full-time (35 hours a week) and a salary of £44,247, rising to £50,379 per annum.
As Planning and Management Information Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and delivering clear, accurate, and visually engaging management information, as well as supporting planning activity across the institution and producing statutory student returns.
The role also involves detailed analysis of complex datasets and working closely with colleagues to ensure data is effectively used to inform decision-making.
To be successful as Planning and Management Information Analyst, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have sufficient experience in a data-focused role, ideally in Higher Education, involving complex databases.
You will be confident in using data to produce robust analysis and reports, with the ability to write and interpret SQL queries to extract and manipulate data including experience of working with enterprise records or management information systems such as SITS.
Experience with data visualisation tools is also essential (and experience with Tableau an advantage), alongside strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the University.

Salary and benefits
From £44,247, rising to £50,379 per annum, Grade 7 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.

Contract:
