This busy and varied role is based in the Systems team, within the FECS (Finance, Estates and Commercial Services) professional service, and your work will help ensure the smooth running of systems that underpin the university’s business needs.
The Systems team provides first- and second-line support for a range of student- and staff-facing systems and applications, including Unit4 ERP, Flywire, Kinetics, Resource Booker, Continuum and other access control systems. Typical responsibilities include performing daily system checks, resolving issues or escalating them as appropriate, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across systems, supporting system integrations, developing reports, assisting with system upgrades and module implementations, and delivering staff training on key system processes. As a member of the first-line support team, you will manage service desk tickets and emails, resolving issues directly or escalating them when required.
You will work closely with experienced systems developers, technical leads, and other systems administrators to deliver high-quality support and contribute to future projects, meeting agreed standards and timescales.
About you
We are seeking someone who combines technical expertise with excellent communication and organisation skills.
You will have demonstrable working knowledge of computerised business systems, with experience managing systems in a complex organisation, and a strong focus on customer service.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key to this role, along with strong problem-solving capabilities to understand and resolve complex issues.
Strong IT skills are required, including Microsoft Office and an understanding of database systems with the ability to manipulate data and develop reports.
As a good communicator you will be able to deliver user training, create clear training materials such as guides and videos and engage with colleagues at all levels of the university.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week.
This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
This role is campus based at least 50 percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
