We are inviting applications for a full-time Postgraduate Course Coordinator at the brand-new Bennett School of Public Policy (BSPP), within the Faculty of Human, Social and Political Science at the University of Cambridge.

This key role will begin in June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter and will play a central role in delivering high-quality administrative support for the Bennett School of Public Policy's postgraduate programmes, with a primary focus on the MPhil in Digital Policy and the PhD in Public Policy. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain administrative procedures; reviewing existing processes, and introducing improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate updates to course handbooks, and publicity materials.
  • Develop and review assignment and exam processes to ensure they run smoothly and comply with university regulations.
  • Process student applications and maintain confidential student records.
  • Handle student enquiries and provide guidance on applications, procedures, and regulations.
  • Manage financial administration for MPhil and PhD programmes, including invoices, and expenses.
  • Support teaching and research activities through timetabling, materials preparation, and session organisation.
  • Act as secretary to committees, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow up actions.
  • Gather and prepare course data for reporting purposes.
  • Provide general administrative support including venue bookings, travel arrangements, and assisting academic staff.
  • Contribute to wider departmental administration as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good general level of education (HND/HNC, Level 4/5 qualification, or equivalent experience).
  • Has previous postgraduate administrative experience, including working with international and professional students.
  • Is highly organised, accurate, and able to prioritise several tasks effectively.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong written English.
  • Can solve problems independently and handle enquiries professionally.
  • Is confident using standard software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).

This role is worked Monday-Friday in line with departmental operational requirements.
