About the role
Applications are invited for a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to support the delivery of a prestigious Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network coordinated by Queen Mary University of London.

The Project Manager will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operational delivery of the consortium, working closely with the Project Coordinator, Queen Mary professional services teams, doctoral candidates, supervisors, beneficiaries, associated partners and external stakeholders.

The postholder will coordinate the day-to-day administration of the network, including project planning, monitoring of deliverables and milestones, support for consortium governance, organisation of meetings and training events, coordination of doctoral candidate recruitment, secondments and Career Development Plans, financial administration, communications, dissemination activities, and preparation of reports for the European Commission. The role will also involve maintaining accurate project records, updating the European Commission Funding & Tenders Portal, supporting budget monitoring, and ensuring that the consortium remains compliant with funder and institutional requirements.

About You
You will be an efficient, diplomatic and highly organised individual with experience of supporting complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines and reporting requirements.

You should have experience in research administration, project coordination, postgraduate programme support, international partnership administration or a comparable professional services environment. Experience of Horizon Europe, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Doctoral Networks, Innovative Training Networks, European Training Networks or other externally funded research programmes would be highly advantageous.

They will be comfortable using digital systems for project tracking, shared documentation, financial administration, reporting and communication. Experience supporting recruitment, training events, committee administration, financial monitoring, dissemination activities or funder reporting would be particularly valuable.

About the Department
The post will be based within the William Harvey Research Institute at Queen Mary University of London.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network will train a cohort of doctoral candidates through an integrated programme of research, secondments, scientific training, transferable skills development, public engagement, innovation and international collaboration. The Project Manager will be embedded within the coordinating team at Queen Mary and will work across the full consortium to support delivery of the network’s scientific, training, communication and reporting objectives.
