City, University of London is seeking a Head of Procurement to join our successful Finance Department on a full-time, permanent appointment.
The role will involve managing the team that oversees the University’s Procurement service. In addition, the role holder will work closely with the CFO, and as a member of the Senior Finance team, assist as required to review and implement the Financial Strategy, in particular leading on the development and delivery of the University’s Procurement Plan. The role delivers an essential service and its success is vital to City’s Finance operations.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a recognised Procurement qualification. Experience of working in a similar role, with emphasis on delivering procurement in a property and facilities environment, specifically capital projects with values in excess of £10 million is essential. The successful candidate will also have experience of procurement within an OJEU environment, excellent people management and customer service skills. Experience of working within Higher Education would be advantageous.
