As the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit (ORTU) Administrative Assistant you will provide administrative support across the whole of ORTU (Trial Management, Nursing, Data Management teams and Senior Management staff) to ensure the smooth running and organisation of the unit.

ORTU is a Clinical Trials Unit specifically focused on respiratory disease. The current trial portfolio includes studies of asthma, COPD, pleural diseases and respiratory sleep and breathing disorders. The portfolio includes Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPS) and medical device trials.

This post requires someone with previous experience of managing administrative processes and a background in customer service who can work both as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and independently. A good knowledge of IT and excellent communication skills are essential.  Experience in a research setting is desirable.

This post will be suitable for someone looking for new challenges. The post holder will have good interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to manage a varying workload and their time independently.

The post is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance and is being offered on a part-time basis (30 hours per week).
