St Peter’s College is one of thirty-nine self-governing Colleges in the University of Oxford. Founded in 1929 expressly to widen access to Oxford University, it is an open, tolerant and creative academic community, with harmonious relations between its senior and junior members, and an atmosphere in which academic staff and students from many different backgrounds and countries mix easily and comfortably. Purpose of the role

Reporting to the College Accountant, the post has responsibility for processing the monthly payroll for 200 staff, including submissions to HMRC and pension providers. The role is also responsible for the receipting of cash, Treasury and cashflow reporting.

The Finance Department consists of 5 members of staff, all of whom are flexible, well trained and work together in delivering an efficient finance function. The remit of the role spans from transaction processing to contributing to the College’s operational and planning processes through the provision of good quality and timely information and analysis.

Appointment will be made on Grade 5 of the Oxford University Pay Scale, currently £26,341 to £31,046.
