Faculty / Directorate

Student and Academic Services is responsible for providing a wide and diverse range of services to all our students including Admissions, Graduation, Student Welfare, Careers & Employability, Student Finance and Academic Quality.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Academic Quality Department (DAQ) in supporting high class academic quality and the enhancement of the student experience.

Role

The Partnerships Officer (Quality) has an important role in coordinating DMU’s engagements with UK and overseas academic partnerships. The purpose of the role is to assist in ensuring the quality and standards of provision delivered through the University’s network of collaborative partners is maintained and enhanced.

The role will entail providing expert advice and preparing formal reports. This will also include providing advice to the executive /senior managers of the University and partner institutions on quality issues, coordinating the annual quality monitoring and review process, updating the annual calendar, and ensuring that accurate records are created and maintained. The post may require travel within the UK and overseas.

Ideal Candidate

You will hold a first degree (or equivalent experience), and will have worked in a Higher Education setting. You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and enhancement principles and their application in the HE environment.

Your ability to build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in the University and with our partner institutions will ensure efficient implementation and development of quality assurance processes. This will be complemented by your excellent ability to analyse information and in turn communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders through various channels, including written reports and presentations. You will also have meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills to succeed in this busy role.

This post is a fixed term maternity cover which will end on 31 August 2022 or when the substantive post holder returns.
