About the job
This new post is created to enhance the University’s relationship with employers and increase income generation from business to business contracts providing knowledge exchange. Working as part of a small team responsible to the head of commercial services (enterprise), the post holder will create a a pipeline and manage a portfolio of clients for a range of service including contract research, CPD, consultancy on a paid basis.
The post holder will achieve stretching income targets, working with clients identifying opportunities to increase the product portfolio, drive income generation, and enhance the university’s reputation.

The post is within a new unit, UON Commercial Service, accountable to the Director for Enterprise and Employability. The department has far reaching responsibilities for improving student outcomes, knowledge exchange, external stakeholder engagement, and income generation. The unit is an integral part of the departmental plan and strategically supported as part of the university’s income diversification plans.
