The School of Health Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching & Research) to join the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team at the University of Manchester. The person appointed will become a key member of the SLT team, providing cutting-edge teaching, undertake original research in language and communicative development and contribute to innovation, evaluation and development of SLT education here at Manchester.
The person appointed will have a PhD related to linguistics, psychology or language and communication and an emerging track record of research publications. They will have experience of speech and language therapy related linguistics teaching within a higher education institution and a strong commitment to pastoral support and support of academic skills and professional development.
They will have a track record of contribution to research projects and attracting external funding for research (or clear potential to do so), as well as experience of supervising Masters level and/or PhD students (or potential to do so).
