About the school or department
The Digital Team is part of the sector-leading Communications, Marketing & Student Recruitment Department (CMSR).
CMSR has responsibility for a number of key university functions including development and management of the university website, marketing campaigns, brand and digital channels; social media and PR; alumni relations; student recruitment initiatives and events; outreach/widening participation activity; plus a range of externally focused projects and sponsorship arrangements; communications and market intelligence.
The Digital Team follow a hybrid, flexible working pattern and the University operates an agile working policy. However, the post holder is expected to work a minimum of 1 day each week on site and remain flexible as required.

About the role
As a Digital Marketing Support Officer (Web) at the university, you’ll join an innovative and forward-thinking Digital Team in a fast-moving environment. From sector-leading digital campaigns and an exciting new brand proposition to our highly-anticipated ‘City Campus’ opening in 23/24, it’s an exciting time to join University of Gloucestershire.
We’re looking for a pro-active digital marketer to help bring our story to life online through the university website. You’ll be a strong copywriter and have experience of using a CMS to manage website content. You’ll be familiar with digital accessibility, search engine optimisation (SEO), website analytics and providing digital support to non-technical colleagues. You’ll have knowledge of UX best-practice, an eye for detail and a keen interest in digital innovation. You’ll be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and you'll be confident communicating with individuals and groups both within and outside of the university.
As the first university to take the bold step to ditch our printed prospectus, we’re passionate about delivering a positive user experience online, and have exciting plans for the future which we can’t wait to share with students, stakeholders and the wider community. You’ll play an important role in this journey, working with colleagues from across the department and university on a number of exciting developments.
