We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support work on Khula Leap https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/life-course-and-medical-sciences/research/groups/international-child-neurodevelopment/ measuring early child development in typically developing infants in in low- and middle-income settings over the 1st 1000 days.
It is funded by Wellcome Leap and incudes international collaborators at Kamuzu University Health Sciences, Malawi and University of Cape Town, South Africa.
This post will involve supporting the Malawian team, linking with Cape Town and research affiliates. You will work under Professor Gladstone - overseeing the team, supporting analyses and child behaviour and brain development assessments. This includes gaining ethics approval, creating standard operating procedures, piloting, adapting new tools and supporting trainings.
You should have a degree in psychology, medicine, or a related field and have experience in conducting assessments of child development. Those with field-based research or experience would be looked on favourably. You would be expected to travel to support the team in Malawi.
You should have comprehensive IT skills and will need to gain a Good Clinical Practice certificate.
The post is available on a fixed term basis for one year in the first instance but is likely to be extended to at least two years. Part time working would be considered.
