Job description:
The Role
Here at Newcastle University we are passionate about helping people reach their potential. This role is all about managing our apprenticeship provision and maximising the use of our apprenticeship levy.
You will manage the University's approach to apprenticeships and apprenticeship provision. This will involve producing an annual plan for maximising the use of the apprentice levy to fulfil the relevant University training and development needs. In delivering the plan the post holder will be responsible for an assessment of training needs in relation to apprenticeships, identification of suitable apprenticeship standards, developing and negotiating programmes and assessment, supporting apprenticeship recruitment and monitoring programme quality and completion. Creating and managing communication both within and outside the University in relation to apprenticeships will be a key to ensuring there is awareness and understanding about the opportunities.
We are keen to hear from candidates who already have a good working knowledge of apprenticeships but will equally enjoy building relationships with internal stakeholder and external partners. They'll be effective at managing multiple priorities and problem solving whilst continually improving our apprenticeship offer.
