This is an exciting new Lecturer role to work across Leicester Medical School (LMS). You will play a pivotal role in our assessment team, providing high quality reporting on our assessment psychometrics throughout the course. The GMC expects that our assessments are rigorously assessed from a psychometric perspective, and you will bring the skills to the team to deliver this.
You will be responsible for leading a range of reporting, including exploring whether there are awarding gaps in our School, and performing quality-monitoring around admissions and student progress, so that we can identify specific groups within our student cohorts, that need greater focus for support, whilst also advising as to whether our recruitment processes should be modified.
As a lecturer post, we are looking for an enthusiastic educator, capable of inspiring interest, curiosity and drive for learning in our students. This post provides the opportunity for those wanting to develop academic excellence and to contribute to research-led teaching. You will deliver excellent student support and pursue innovation and enhancement in student learning and experience with a view to ensuring outstanding student satisfaction.
You will have a real passion for the subject matter and be motivated to provide the very best experience for our students using your expertise and skill to ensure all reach their potential. We are looking for someone with a commitment to teaching excellence, diversity, and our departmental community.
You will have a relevant degree (typically in psychology, statistics or epidemiology) and knowledge of the variety of assessment methods used in Medical Education, both written and clinical. You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
