Job description
Research Operations is responsible for supporting the growth of the University’s research base through the development and implementation of effective operations across Research Services and the Research Institutes.
We currently have 3 newly created Operations Officer roles in the Research Institutes below, you may specify your preference in the application if you wish.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Team aligned to one of the above Research Institutes. You will be joining an exciting area where colleagues are passionate about conducting impactful research. You will be supporting both Researchers and the Post Graduate Researchers community.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant administrative experience and the ability to work without close supervision. You will be confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, competent in preparing reports for and minuting board & complex meetings, and able to manage your workload and that of others in the team. The successful candidate will lead on promotion of research, independently and through liaison with marketing, as well as event planning so experience in these areas is key. You should also be confident in using various IT systems especially SharePoint and proficient with social media. You will be part of a friendly team responsible for providing high level professional operational support for a variety of activities across multiple research areas & locations. Excellent customer care and organisation skills are essential, with high attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
