We are looking for a full-time Design Team Lead to lead a multi-disciplinary design team and advance the creative offering of our thriving in-house agency in Birmingham.
Background
We are a thriving in-house creative communications agency operating within the University of Birmingham. Our friendly team of creative, production and client services professionals deliver a vast range of projects and multi-platform solutions across design & print, digital, animation and video. Our spacious and characterful premises are located in impressive buildings at the heart of the beautiful campus which is close to Birmingham city centre and with excellent transport links.
Role Summary
As Design Team Lead, you will play a key role in helping advance the creative and design offering of our agency, working closely with the Head of Creative. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of six designers and oversee the delivery of outstanding integrated creative solutions, driving creative concepts, innovation, and trend insight throughout. You will be responsible for strategic planning across all design production and collaborating with the Studio Co-ordinator and Account Management team to ensure all projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, and within budget.
Person Specification
Having solid experience as a Senior Graphic Designer you will also have strong experience in leading and mentoring a design team. You will have proven experience in art directing multi-disciplinary projects including digital and multi-channel campaigns. Passionate about all aspects of creative, you keep up to date with the latest innovations and trends, continuously developing your own skillset as well as that of the team. Having advanced skills in the full Adobe Creative Cloud tools, you love sharing knowledge and pro-actively putting forward ideas to support clients’ challenges and drive business growth.
