An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Knowledge Transfer Officer to join the School of Mathematics. You will be joining Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading research led universities, as a Knowledge Transfer Officer initiating, fostering and supporting knowledge transfer activities between the School and external organisations (e.g. business, industry, research councils, public bodies). The post is fixed term for 24 months and available from 1st June 2023.
The post holder will be proactive and experienced in working effectively with a wide range of internal and external partners. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will be confident in multi-tasking and managing multiple strategic priorities. You will have excellent communications skills and be able to convey information in a clear and concise manner to a range of stakeholders. An interest or background in Mathematical Sciences would be advantageous for the role, for engaging with academics, and communicating effectively the School’s research and teaching activities to external organisations.
Reporting to the School Manager, the post holder will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues within the School, in addition to those within the wider University and externally, to further the School’s knowledge transfer and external engagement activities.
This position is a full-time position, 35 hours per week and is fixed term for 24 months. The post is available from 1st June 2023 or a mutually agreed date thereafter.
Salary: £36,333 - £43,155 per annum (Grade 6).
