LSE is a global community of people and ideas in the heart of central London. We're a specialist social sciences university, ranking fifth in the world in the QS subject rankings 2023 and first in London in the Complete University Guide 2024 and Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023.
In recent years, LSE has prioritised the improvement of the student experience whilst they study in London and, to that effect, set up a central Student Communities team whose aims are to:
The new Student Communities Administrator role will require lots of ideas, personality and organisational skills to think of additional events/initiatives to improve campus and then implement them to a high standard. Together with the Student Communities Programme Manager, the Administrator will work towards making the LSE’s offering in the area of community-building activities an example to follow in the UK higher education sector
The post-holder will also perform some administrative duties for the Director of the Student Learning and Personal Development division in which LSE LIFE and the Student Communities team sit.
The role involves evening work and potentially some weekend when attending planned trips for the students. Time can be taken back in lieu and more flexibility given over the vacation periods. During term time it is a predominantly campus-based role (at least three days per week, however flexibility will be required).
Candidates should have:
LSE offers an outstanding pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
