The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Plymouth is a provider of first-class contemporary education, informed by research and innovation. We offer contemporary and dynamic multi-professional advanced practice which include Non-Medical prescribing as a core or optional module, depending on the programme. The prescribing course offers students a robust framework to enhance their clinical practice and achieve annotation on their professional register for Independent and Supplementary Prescribing.

The school is looking for an exceptional individual with experience and enthusiasm for prescribing to join the Advanced Practice team as we expand our provision across the Peninsula. We are committed to providing students with innovative and high-quality postgraduate programmes that meet the needs of clinicians and services, that prepare the next generation of practitioners across clinical disciplines to deliver high quality, safe, competent, and evidenced based practice for their patients.

Registration with either the NMC, HCPC or GPhC is essential, including annotation for Independent and Supplementary Prescribing. You should possess appropriate professional qualifications, relevant post registration experience as a prescriber, a higher Degree in health or a related subject, relevant postgraduate qualifications, and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work to achieve this).

There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.

This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus an Adult's Barred List check.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37 hours a week.
