The role
We have a brilliant opportunity for a creative events coordinator passionate about community management to join a newly formed team delivering exceptional inclusive community building events, throughout the academic year, for our students.
The role holder will, using a variety of community building strategies, design, plan, and deliver multiple event series for our students living in the three residential villages. You will manage a team providing pastoral care to students living in university residences and will work with and support the Junior Common Room committees in their delivery of student led events, and community building initiatives.

You have experience working planning and delivering events for students from a diverse range of backgrounds. You have a solid understanding of how to plan an event & risk assessment protocol. You have experience building positive relationships with multiple stakeholders.
You are a self-starter and proactively look for ways in which to improve events we deliver to our students to improve their experience. You are flexible and adaptable in your approach to event design and delivery. During event delivery, you can think quickly and solve problems independently, often without input from colleagues.
You will work a shifting weekly work pattern of 9.00 – 17.00 and 14.00 - 22.00 to meet the demands of the service we provide to the students. You will work two 12-hour shifts over the weekend, one in every 6 weekends, & receive three days off work; two days before and one day after your working weekend. Every Wednesday, all Officers will work 9.00 – 17.00 & no events will take place.
