This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Marketing Officer to help drive recruitment of new students and help build reputation at the University of Aberdeen – a top 20 University in the UK and top 200 in the world.
The University of Aberdeen is seeking to appoint a collaborative self-starter for the role of Marketing Officer. We are at an exciting moment in our 528-year-history. From our historic campus in Aberdeen, at the centre of the global transition to sustainable energy, our teaching and research is addressing the most pressing problems we face today including climate change, sustainable development, inequality, conflict and challenges to democracy.
Helping raise the profile of key subject areas across various Schools and a diverse product portfolio, the Marketing Officer will play a pivotal role attracting new undergraduate and postgraduate students to the University, using specialist product knowledge, commercial know-how, and strategic thinking to maximise marketing opportunities for a variety of domestic and international markets.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Officer will support the delivery of marketing activities, in line with the Schools’ strategic marketing priorities and the University’s newly refreshed brand. The role will have a particular focus on the generation and development of School and programme-specific marketing content. With strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, and advanced understanding of market insights and data, the role will include content development, advertising, events, print and digital collateral development, market research, analytics and digital marketing campaigns.
This is a unique opportunity for a creative and diligent marketer to hit the ground running during an exciting time of growth and development: working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, to help deliver quality content and campaigns alongside our dedicated team of experts. We look forward to hearing from you!
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 5, £31,396 - £34,980 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
