We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic administration professional for a key support role in the NIHR Research Support Service (NIHR RSS), hosted within the Population Health Sciences Institute, at Newcastle University. You will support the strategic aims and activities of the NIHR RSS and will provide comprehensive administrative support to its colleagues.
You will provide high level administrative support to the RSS Team including RSS Workstream leads. You will be a first point of contact for stakeholders and investigators, responding to queries and, amongst other duties, will support with arranging events, meetings, draft reports and other materials, maintain the RSS database, website and social media accounts, and support outcome (e.g. metrics) reporting. A high level of confidentiality will be required.
You will need a proactive approach to your work, independently prioritising workload and reporting on milestones as appropriate. Some tasks will need to be completed to tight deadlines and will require self-motivation and the ability to take responsibility for getting the job done. You will work across North East and North Cumbria and nationally.
This is a full-time post (37 hours per week), fixed-term until 30 September 2028.
