Trinity Hall is seeking to appoint an Access and Recruitment Officer to support our ambition to identify and recruit students with high academic potential from a wide range of backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a leading Higher Education institution, ensuring equality of access for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.  Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the successful candidate will have a passion for higher education and will work as part of a team in our busy Tutorial office.

This is a varied post with duties to include 1) working with the Director of Admissions to develop and deliver new strategic recruitment and widening participation activities for the College, 2) working with schools, teachers and students to advise and encourage applications to Cambridge and 3) to report on access and outreach activities and assist with administrative aspects of both the undergraduate and postgraduate admissions processes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, IT, organisational and administrative skills. They will be educated to degree level with knowledge of the structure and systems of higher education and secondary schools, and an understanding of barriers facing those from under-represented backgrounds. Experience in supporting students applying to highly competitive universities like Oxford and Cambridge is highly desirable. A satisfactory Standard DBS Check is necessary for this role (to be acquired on appointment).
