Apply to work as part of our busy, multi-location Digital Campus Services team.
We are pleased to announce an opportunity to join our multi-location Digital Campus Services Team, which plays a central role in helping to ensure staff, students and visitors derive the greatest possible benefits from the university’s extensive AV and IT services.
As an AV Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing first, second and third line support to the university community for AV related support requests received in-person, via telephone and self-service. Your role will be varied and you will be required to engage widely in supporting AV and IT technologies for the core business areas of research, teaching and administration.
Overall, you will have a good understanding of AV technologies with experience of delivering support remotely and in person. Your role will involve routine checks of AV equipment, working with customers to optimise usage and contributing to service improvement initiatives. You will also be required to troubleshoot and will be a quick and confident learner who is keen to engage in supporting new technologies. You are very much a team player with good communication and customer service skills who thrives in a busy and varied environment.
At the University of Nottingham, we aim to give you all the support you need to nurture your talent, develop and reach your professional and personal career goals. We are committed to providing competitive employment packages whilst supporting the well-being of our staff to help them reach their full potential. As a university employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and attractive pension scheme.
As the successful candidate, you will have a HNC/equivalent qualification and experience trouble-shooting and problem-solving in an IT workplace environment.
