About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to teach on the Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy Programme at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN). The postholder will also be involved in the MSc in Family Therapy Programme which includes running a supervision group in a service in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. In addition, the postholder will contribute to the development of systemic teachings across the IoPPN.  These include collaboration with colleagues on the Systemic Pathway within the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. They will be expected to contribute to the teaching in these programmes. The post is open to Family and Systemic Psychotherapists who are new to teaching and interested to develop a career in academia.

This lectureship will fall within the Academic Education Pathway, which is focused on the delivery of education, education-related scholarship, and leadership in education.

Family Therapy Programmes at the IoPPN are well established and maintain excellent student satisfaction rates.   Key to these programmes is the provision of high quality clinical placements with our partners in South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS Trusts across London and the postholder will be expected to maintain and further develop these links.

The postholder will be registered with UKCP as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist as well as with AFT as an Approved Systemic Supervisor.

This post will be offered on a part-time (50% - 60%FTE), indefinite contract.
