We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and well organised Senior Contracts Administrator to join the dynamic Clinical Medicine team at the Cambridge Research Office.

These range from non-disclosure agreements to multiparty international clinical trials.
Together with the Contracts Administration Manager, you will work with the Head of Clinical Contracts and the contracts team to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with individual researchers, Departments, administrative colleagues, NHS Trusts, other Universities and external sponsors in order to provide the highest level of service supporting the research activities of the School of Clinical Medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with supervisory experience to line manage a team of two Contracts Administrators to provide high quality administration of research contracts. You will manage team workloads, track workflow, produce status reports and maintain momentum across all activities.
The successful candidate will be the first line of expertise and guidance on complex administrative issues for the Contracts Administrators within the team, contributing to training needs and facilitating sharing of best practice across the office. In addition, you will:

2.Liaise with sponsors and Departments during contract negotiation, track workflow by accurate use of databases, produce status reports, and maintain momentum across all activities;
3.Assist the Senior Contracts Managers, Contracts Managers and Contract Specialists to develop and maintain good working relationships in order to provide the highest level of service to the clinical medicine research activities of the University of Cambridge.
As a key member of the contracts team, you will need to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and an understanding of research contracts, including in various budget scenarios for different sponsor types. An understanding of grant management and costing systems, and of databases is desirable. You will be able to demonstrate excellent numeracy, communications and organisational skills and a positive, customer oriented approach. The team works in a busy office environment, so you must be able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
