Arts, Cultural Industries and Education (ACE) are a creative, ambitious and inclusive Faculty and your role will be to provide a professional administrative service to the Faculty Executive.
We operate over five sites across the City which connects us with local communities and our industry partners. We have 6,000 students participating in undergraduate and postgraduate practice-based study and we invest heavily in our facilities and resources to support them.
You will assist us in providing a comprehensive proactive executive support service to members of the faculty executive team. This could include, for example, diary management, keeping reference documents up-to-date, greeting visitors and receiving and responding to enquiries. You will support the arrangement and facilitation of meetings and events, which includes following up with meeting notes and management of actions.
You will work as part of a collaborative team who support each other by working flexibly across our Campuses. Working together and in line with our University Values, the team share information and solve problems together in an innovative and enterprising way, always striving to provide the best possible service.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to start or move into a career in Higher Education administration, so you don’t have to have worked in higher education or have been to university to apply for this role. We value different experiences that a wide range of applicants could to our team.
You will be confident with technology and very familiar with the features of Microsoft Office 365 such as Outlook mail and Outlook Calendar; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote; together with collaboration applications such as Teams and SharePoint. You will have good writing skills and will be constructive, positive communicator who is capable of building rapport across a wide range of stakeholders. Some experience in a customer service role would be beneficial but isn’t essential, however you will recognise the importance of maintaining the highest standards of service for all the University’s customers. You will have experience of working collaboratively towards common goals and will be looking to enhance your own personal learning and development.
We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian, Multiple Heritage or Other Minority Ethnic candidates as we are currently under-represented in these areas, however all appointments are made strictly on individual merit.
