We are looking for someone who is experienced in providing support and guidance to a diverse student body and is interested in using their own lived experiences, skills and knowledge to enable our students to get the best experience whilst at University.
If you have a background in advice work, are looking for a new opportunity, and want to make a real difference to the lives of our students, we would be keen to hear from you.
As International Advice and Support Manager, you will join the International Advice and Support team to manage the University’s provision of immigration advice and guidance to students in relation to study and other related routes including post-study options, ensuring this is provided in the context of the University’s status as a Sponsor institution. This will include providing bespoke immigration advice to our international students using various modes of communication.
The role will include taking a lead in developing and managing the section’s immigration advice and support including enquiry and case management in areas including but not limited to student route, skilled worker route, graduate immigration route, start up visa and students applying for leave with dependants and rules around switching immigration categories. The role will also support students with referrals to Immigration Solicitors with enquiries on asylum and seeking refugee status.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and commitment to supporting our students and someone with a can-do attitude. You will have well developed analytical/problem solving skills and experience in using your initiative to find appropriate solutions whilst working within a fast paced environment.
