Hours of work: 7.45am - 5pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and evening shifts.
The Department for Continuing Education is seeking to appoint a Senior Receptionist to play a lead role in coordinating the front of house work for our busy conference and course-related activities. You will work at the reception desk and be responsible for a team of receptionists, training and developing the team and delegating work to them, assisting the conference office with their enquires.
You will be familiar with working in a hotel and university environment, having experience in managing front of house staff, and enjoying being the first point of contact for all guest enquires, whether face to face or over the telephone. You should be able to quickly gain a broad understanding of the Department’s wide range of activities.
The role also includes Duty Management cover at the weekend, providing cover to oversee the hospitality operation of the Department. Approximately ten weekend days are expected per year.
This is a permanent, full-time role, working 41.25 hours per week.
