About us
The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for an experienced PA and Administrator to join the administrative team to support the activities of the Institute of Environmental Design and Engineering and Institute of Sustainable Resources. The Institutes’ focus is on the issue of sustainability within their domains which is conducted through teaching, research and partnership engagement.
About the role
The main purpose of the role is to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Institute Directors. This will include diary management, arranging meetings and minute taking, logistical support with events, dealing with correspondence, travel bookings and other administrative support. In addition, you will provide a first point of contact for staff, students, visitors and external agencies for the Institutes: advising staff on internal processes, raising purchase orders, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, monitoring and responding as appropriate.
About you
Our ideal candidate must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail. They will be educated to GCSE level at Grade C or above (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent. They will have proven experience of providing effective PA support in a complex organisation, including the effective management of a complicated diary. This is a busy role, in a fast-paced environment, and the post holder is expected to be adaptable, quickly assimilate information and have strong use of initiative. The role requires interaction with many people both internal and external to UCL, therefore a professional attitude, willingness to help and ability to remain tactful and assertive are required in order to execute the duties outlined.
