We are looking for an e-Learning Developer to join our Digital Education Unit.

The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for an e-Learning Developer to join the team of digital education specialists in the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies’ Digital Education Unit (DEU). The Vet School’s DEU is well-established and highly regarded for its innovative support of teaching, both within and beyond the University.

The post will support the School’s postgraduate taught programmes (PGT) and continuing professional development (CPD) activities. There are many, diverse applications of digital education within veterinary medicine, with opportunities to become involved in areas of interest.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A good communicator with high level skills in modern learning technologies and virtual learning environments, the candidate should have knowledge of a range of digital education tools and have experience in both the technological and pedagogical aspects of these.
  • Extensive experience in the practical application of e-Learning technologies and multi-media applications, in particular the use of Adobe Creative Suite including sound & video editing, and cross-platform delivery, including mobile devices.
  • Should have experience of virtual learning environments and virtual classrooms, preferably Blackboard Learn and Collaborate.
  • An understanding of Accessibility and Copyright legislation.
  • This post requires an ability to embrace new technologies, acquire new skills quickly, and the ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
