About the Role
The University of Oxford’s Estates Services department is currently looking to fill a new, 12 month fixed-term position. We would like to appoint a person with superior software and organisational skills to support our work on ArcGIS; the University’s public-facing facilities and accessibility map (maps.ox.ac.uk); Vault, our document-storage facility; Planon, our space management database; as well as Horizon, our property-management software.
About You
This is a varied role that will expose you to the information environment that supports a large and multifaceted estate: from medieval buildings to state-of-the-art 21st-century research laboratories. You will be part of the team that keeps and updates records for this estate in formats that range from 2D CAD drawings to GIS-based online maps.
The successful applicant will be part of a small, data-focused team, and we are looking for someone with an absolute commitment to detail, meticulous quality-control and record-keeping processes, and who can demonstrate the ability to work on a wide variety of platforms. The successful applicant must value being part of a team that puts great emphasis on outstanding service to colleagues and other stakeholders in the University’s estate.
