The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 572 years. Today, we are one of the world's top 100 universities and ranked 13th in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Impact Rankings 2023, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world. Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.
Under the direction of the Student Experience Team (SET) Leads in Student Learning, Skills and Employability, and Transitions, the SET Tutor Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, training and management of our expanding SET student tutor team. These tutors support the delivery of our online and face-to-face student training and support. The postholder will also be expected to deliver online and face-to-face training to College of Social Sciences students.
Our expanding portfolio of SET provision supports the entire student journey, from induction and retention, through academic literacies, and employability skills development. In co-delivering our student-facing support, the postholder will play a key role in supporting student induction and retention, the student learning journey, and student skills and employability. In so doing, they will have direct impact on improving student outcomes and have a positive, scalable, measurable impact on College/University KPIs, including student success and retention, employability outcomes, and student satisfaction.
The postholder will report directly to the SET Student Transitions Lead and indirectly to the SET Student Learning and Skills and Employability Leads. They will also work collaboratively on a range of projects with the rest of the Student Experience Team.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
Closing Date: 17 October 2023
