The advertised role is based within Employment Services which forms part of the Placement and Employment Service within the Student Services Directorate. We engage with regional, national, and international employers to enhance our students’ exposure to the world of work and to expand their choice of opportunities.
The University of West London (UWL) are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Talent Bank Officer to project lead important employer provisions and increase graduate-level employment. The successful candidate will support the development of our growing number of external industry employer relationships on behalf of the university. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and shape the next phase of development for the university Employment Service. The position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a cross-service, multi-stakeholder environment covering a range of industries and sectors.
The role is centred on our mission to support UWL Students and Graduates to achieve graduate level employment and is an incredibly rewarding and varied position within the university. The successful candidate will enjoy brokering meaningful industry partnerships, lead on high-level institution-wide events, represent the university at a range of internal and external events, play a key role in launching our new graduate recruitment service and support its delivery with employer partners and recent graduates.
We are particularly interested in candidates from a business development, relationship management or early careers (in-house or client-side) background, or candidates who have worked in education and can demonstrate a strong understanding of employer’s requirements.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a demonstrable customer service ethos, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in both written and verbal format. You will also have proficient IT skills including experience of using and customising CRM database systems to improve service delivery and manage priorities. The position is an excellent opportunity to make a difference at a high performing modern and diverse London university.
The role will suit individuals seeking a blend of responsibilities across business development, recruitment, user experience development, and public relations. Responsibilities also include supporting the attraction and assessment phases of the annual university graduate scheme and when required assist in the delivery our internal part-time jobs service for UWL students.
